What kind of glue do you use to secure the glass?
Lovely item, I really like it.
I do want to touch it, put my hands over the hands.
I have a strong need to touch!
hmmm
Lovely! I always like hands as images, like in cave art. Did you work with someone else on this, or did that person work on a different piece? Anyway, that sounds like fun.
I wish you were closer and I could give you a lot of pieces of broken pottery and you could make something for me, or we could work on it together!
It must be lovely to work on it together.
A good friend of mine runs a mosaic group for bushfire affected women (from the Feb fires), and they are all using bits and pieces of their own crockery, found in the wreckage of their homes after Black Saturday. It's incredibly poignant. She showed me photos of the works so far - one woman found shattered bits of her wedding crockery and is using that.
BEAUTIFUL LOVE IT! I want to reach out and touch ...
the sharing shines through -
How lovely, are the round bits buttons?
Hallo All,
In answer to your questions...
sh. We have used a 'Liquid nails' glue for all the pieces.
We both worked on the same piece so that our cutting styles were mixed.
ml. Get your pieces of china together and then click on some of the links to the right of my page. You will find all the info you need to get started. I look forward to seeing YOUR mosaic :)
l. The round bits are glass gems ( although I have used buttons in previous work)
S. Would love to see some pics of the 'fire' mosaics, is that possible?
