Green woman

Green Woman

Finished at last.
Grouted, repainted and polished.

Now she lives in the hall
and I see her every day.

She's beautiful and will give you a lift everytime you walk past her in the hall.

Generative and generous.

She's just beautiful, as are your exquisite little hearts. I do get the feeling your work, always lovely, has made a jump, that it's got finer and stronger somehow.

I forget, do you make those little faces yourself?

AP.Z.L.

Thankyou. She tested me a little this green woman. It is interesting to think about your comment L. 'finer and stronger'. Maybe it is because I now have the time to focus on my mosaic work.

The faces are made with fimo, pushed into a mold, then manipulated a little (to give individual character, I hope). I then bake them and paint when cool.

Thanks, I just enlarged her, she doesn't look like fimo, but something much earthier and more organic in fact, in must be the finish you gave her.

I don't see your little eucalyptus leaf signature anywhere...

Lucy. This piece started before I had the idea of a signature. Mind you she is surrounded by leaves so...

I love this green woman - my favorite colors. Your mosaics are beautiful. Coincidentally, I took a mosaics class recently and am just beginning to make my own.
